I embrace a 100% eco-friendly approach to pet care
I have been passionate about sustainability for as long as I can remember. With so much plastic polluting our environment, harming wildlife and impacting our health, living a kinder, cleaner, cruelty-free life gives me great joy.
I lead a zero waste, plant-based lifestyle, and enjoy supporting fantastic local businesses that align with my values.
My eco-friendly business is no different, ensuring that I leave nothing behind but pawprints. I have put some of my main principles below.
- I walk or cycle to all dog walks
- I clean up all dog poo
- I clean up plastic and other litter during my dog walks
- I ensure that dogs coexist harmoniously with wildlife by:
- Adhering to park regulations about keeping dogs on lead, especially during bird nesting season
- Minimising disturbance to wildlife, especially with off-lead dogs
- Staying on designated walking/hiking trails
- I shop sustainably by:
- Using only certified 100% home compostable or recycled/repurposed dog poo bags, sourced locally
- Sourcing all toys second-hand (such as from charity shops)
- Sourcing all treats in plastic-free packaging. I also make homemade treats for my dog!
- Supporting local, sustainable businesses wherever possible
- During walks, I provide water for dogs using a refillable water bottle
- I follow a zero waste, plant-based lifestyle
- I donate to local animal charities
- I volunteer with wildlife and pets, locally and abroad (including hedgehogs, toads, primates, birds and cats)
